About This Service

This area of intervention focuses on how a child expresses, understands, and engages with the world around them. Communication and behaviour are closely connected—difficulties in one often influence the other. Support is designed as a combined process, addressing speech and language development alongside behavioural patterns and social interaction. Evidence-based approaches such as speech-language therapy, Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), and structured social engagement are used to build functional communication, improve attention and regulation, and support adaptive behaviours. Intervention is play-based, structured, and developmentally appropriate—ensuring that learning remains engaging while targeting meaningful outcomes.

What to Expect

The process begins with a detailed assessment to understand both communication abilities and behavioural patterns. This includes a comprehensive speech and language evaluation, along with a Functional Behaviour Assessment (FBA) to identify triggers, responses, and underlying functions of behaviour. Speech & Language Development: Sessions focus on vocabulary development, sentence formation, articulation, fluency, and social communication using play, visual supports, storytelling, and interactive activities. Behavioural Development: Intervention uses Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), and cognitive-behavioural principles, teaching skills through clear instruction and systematic positive reinforcement. Group & Social Interaction: Group sessions provide structured space to practice communication and behaviour in social contexts.

Who It Helps

Children who experience challenges in expressing themselves, understanding language, or engaging socially. This includes children with delayed speech, unclear articulation, limited vocabulary, or difficulty with conversational and social communication, as well as those with developmental conditions such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, and related profiles.
