The Early Learning Journey

Early Learning Centre

From the first wobbly steps of toddlerhood to the confidence of a school-ready six-year-old, the Early Learning Centre is a warm, unhurried space where play is the curriculum and every child is met exactly where they are.

Every child grows in their own way and at their own pace. These are the things we lovingly encourage — never a race, and never a test.

Two programmes, one gentle path

Ankuram

Toddler Play Hub18–36 months

A child's first gentle step away from home into a world of shared discovery. Through sensory play, music and movement, toddlers build balance, first words, curiosity and the confidence to explore — with caregivers welcomed close by.

Medha Vanam

Our Early Learning programme30 months – 6 years

A grove where young minds grow. Structured, play-based learning prepares children for school and life: language and early literacy, number sense, attention, and the social confidence to share, wait and belong — all aligned to national standards.

When should my child start?

Formal schooling in India now begins at age 6, when children join Grade 1, and the school year starts in June. We have designed Medha Vanam by working backwards from that milestone.

Our programme is a gentle three-and-a-half-year journey, from a settling-in phase through Nursery, LKG and UKG. A child who joins us at around 30 months (2½ years) completes that journey just as they turn 6, arriving at Grade 1 confident, ready and right on schedule.

Because schools admit to Grade 1 by a single age cut-off each year, a few months can decide whether your child joins this year's group or waits a full year. Starting at 30 months gives your child the best chance to stay on track rather than a year behind, without ever being rushed.

Admission-age cut-off dates vary by state and school. We are happy to help you work out the right start year for your child — just talk to us.
